Or govt. doesnt have any incentive to insure tax payers arent being robbed blind by the private sector or to care... which is why it needs to end the relationship with it.

... and in fact it has incentive($$$) to rob tax payers, and its up to tax payers to end this relationship.

DynCorp and other contractors were doing jobs the American military was supposed to be doing. If the US was not able to beef up their numbers, then so be it. Hiring contractors wasn't a good idea. This was like the first war the US spent a lot on private contractors to replace tasks that US soldiers did in the past.

They aren't undertrained. They couldn't fulfill manpower needs via recruiting. An example is transportation. The US gov't hired truckers to truck stuff in Iraq. Rather than using soldiers to operate trucks, they hired contractors at a huge cost. And now, there are truckers (who were contractors) with PTSD issues who worked in Iraq.

Well everyone that does my job is undertrained. Theres alot of things we simply can not do (and not because of manpower) and thats why they hire contractors.
