Yeah Jon Voight is saving this show. Mickey is hilarious.
I thought Ray got his paper by being a goon for the Elliot Gould character. Isn't he biting the hand right now? His PI business never seems to have any customers. So don't say that is his main source of income.

This show might be the most depressing cable drama ever. Ray is humorless, the kids are a bunch of twerps, the wife is an insufferable nag, and his brothers all seem like they hate sunshine. Even Mickey's seeming a bit dour now.

The person who created this show also made Southland, which was another really depressing show. But once in a while even that show have moments of levity. Everything is just so drab on Ray Donovan.

seems like bleak/depressing shows have been the norm for a few years now. its crazy as hell.

Looked a little more polished, Ray's wife seems to have sorted her accent out.

And we got to see Mickey shuffle.

Yeah I know shes Irish breh, but her accent in Deadwood was spot on...

the Boston accent she sported in the first detracted from her performance for me, maybe concentrating on getting the performance accent right takes alot of concentration, I see UK actors doing it all the time in american films/tv shows.
