It's really ridiculous how long some black gamers would go to get rep from a community that'll backhand everything they do. Instead of trying to form communities to put a end to the nonsense, or even go in the league that they think we won't beat them in (Overwatch, LOL, Dota, etc). I feel like this story is the perfect response to those that question why nerds (from non-black interests) are not so readily embraced by the black community.
Deep down black folks know/feel that those who're a minority in a specific field may be c00ning (at some level) to survive that environment where they're most likely exposed to racists cacs that play on their desire to be a part of the team.
It's not hate for the nerds themselves (although even here they feel that way), but it's suspicion that they may have sold part of their soul to be a part of a community that most likely has some racists in it.
