the whole she grew the game argument is fine I guess because she is no doubt an all time college talent, but it’s not real growth
the 9.9 million viewers won’t be there when she’s not in college
she got a bunch of white people too racist to watch basketball when there aren’t good white american players to watch the games and got a good bunch of black folks pissed off about how the media is/was treating it, which = ratings or PPV buys if it’s boxing.
that’s not sustainable growth. I doubt it will translate to the WNBA either when she’s not going to be playing on an all white team like she is at Iowa.
sadly there is a huge portion of white folks in this country who won’t care about basketball unless you got this type of situation or a Larry Bird and the celtics situation, or Duke when the best players on the team are white etc.
