It happens to everyone when they try to keep a newcomer down and fail. The best thing she can do at this point, is keep her mouth shut and put out good music, which most likely should include reinventing her style so she doesn't seem like the same Nicki that Cardi whizzed by.
Female rap is such a minority, that there really is only room for one girl in the mainstream.

Yes, but the artists aren't dictating that, the fans do. We have even seen this attempted already, when Nicki and Cardi collaborated for Motorsport. It was a showing of unity and let's eat together, but the fans still chose Cardi. Even before Nicki started crying before she dropped the songs. The songs not doing that well is also another sign. Like I said in my other post, it's just too much of a minority, the fans will only rock with one rapping female.
She can try to call in favors with megastar collabs, but I think she needs to reinvent her style. If fans are picking Cardi over Nick's current incarnation already, putting out more of the same isn't going to help her at all.
