I'm 99% sure RE8 is not a timed exclusive. It will have VR for PS5 though.

misinformation might be the wrong word, but they know how to play 'dirty'.
hey nothing wrong with it.it's a dirty game, i guess, but it still is what they do.
here is something they did i read about years back during sega's dreamcast launch (i know it's decades back,but still)

What Sony learned was that if you can make people think your console is
going to be significantly more powerful, they will wait for you to get to
market. They also learned that people like to hear impressive numbers, and
it doesn't matter if you can actually deliver on them or not. So it is you
get wild performance claims about the Cell that may or may not bear any
resemblance to how it will perform in the final product. No one can really
dispute them because no one really knows any better.
(this is marketing, so i have no qualms with it)

(but this right here, a little shady in my book)

polygons per second that Sony had claimed for the PS2 on their original spec
sheet was actually closer to 7 million in actual applications, but by then,

like i said, i don't have a horse in this and i completely skipped the last gen consoles (might get one this gen), so i might be out of the loop on many things.

Actually, Ratchet and Clank was sold for $39.99 day one on PS4 so I assume this may be the same.

Oh and I'm shocked you said it look like all the other Ratchet games with updates graphics. Last time I checked, most games look like their past iterations with updated graphics
