Devante= dopest R&B producer of the 90s. He was like the RZA of Jodeci. R&B beats with such Hip Hop flavor (fathered Timbaland's style and taught him a lot). No telling what could have been had drugs not have gotten to him. How many R&B producers you know can make some hard shyt like this?...

the layers of this beat still blow my mind

and my speakers ha

Classic R&B. The way the album flows is crazy. K-Ci was still on top vocally and Devante was a genius :wow:

I could listen to this album all day. Damn shame what happened to them, on top of the R&B world and then nothing for damn near 20 years. fukking Death Row curse.

the real hiphop.
I was actually bumping this on the train today.

The only Jodeci album that is fire all the way through, the 2 previous ones were crazy with slow tempo tracks but meh with the uptempo ones.

S-More, Let's Do It All, Time & Place, Get On Up and Bring On Da Funk are my favorite tracks...

i don't like rating albums on a scale- but that album gotta be a 5 mic joint. I hate all the skits on it but song for song it flowed so well and the skits were appropriate. devante ear for talent is unmatched- dude done mentored missy, timbaland, playa, ginuwine, tweet - all those names have damn near strong to classic work they have made.

jodeci toured this year where i live (columbia, sc) and charlotte, nc (a hour away) and both times i missed the show- went to aruba (columbia show) and then went out of town for the charlotte show weekend (hit a nfl game that weekend). i kinda wish i caught one of them- they had mint condition, blackstreet, bell biv devoe, and other legends. i'll probably regret it if they don't tour again though.

legendary group period.

i do think ginuwine 1st 2 albums the bachelor and 100% give it a run almost- timbaland was so cold production wise on both of them.
