Devante= dopest R&B producer of the 90s. He was like the RZA of Jodeci. R&B beats with such Hip Hop flavor (fathered Timbaland's style and taught him a lot). No telling what could have been had drugs not have gotten to him. How many R&B producers you know can make some hard shyt like this?...

Devante picked up Stevie J before Badboy, he could tell when someone had it. :ohlawd: Da Goat slowed down though & stopped turning in records because he wasnt getting the numbers right for his work. MCA got mad he stopped giving em stuff.

But his son is a problem...

Musical madness........ even Teddy had to say "Damn" when Devante arrived on the scene. :lupe:

How many people can just land songs on a Aerosmith project? :myman:

That song on the last album "jennifer" Devante wrote & was the original demo for the tape Jodeci gave to MCA. That was his first song he wrote for Jodeci at 13, that's how gifted he was. :ooh:

Even though.... it sounded like Richard Marx, I still can fukk with it. :youngsabo:

One of my favorite Jodeci filler tracks...

No one really mentions it, but it kind of shows you what kind of Wizard Devante was at 18. He was making things people would KILL for in those days for their album.

This shyt blasts on ANY system... :banderas::banderas::banderas: K-Ci's lines w/ that Devante rhythm arrangement... and the breakdown...at the end... the god :banderas:

MCA so impatient they didn't let Devante master the uptempo as well as he did the slow/mid tempo groove. :mindblown: Maybe Teddy got scared of that reality and told them "Dont promote their dancefloor grooves, this is my LANE" :smugbiden:
