I've never found dude funny, not even remotely. I can't remember one time he's made me laugh. I did love him in Parks and Rec though. But I just liked his chemistry with the rest of the cast. Didn't find him funny though.

yep. its like he kind of ducks his Indian roots as much as possible unless its a punchline. i dont know him personally, but its odd he doesnt have much of a cultural stamp on his brand other than his skin. he's not different than any other random white comedian who idolizes black culture

he's from south carolina or some shyt so im not sure how much his parents really taught him

i guess his parents really tried to americanize him, because he can't even speak or read tamil

doesn't surprise me though, lots of immigrant parents try very hard to help their kids assimilate but then they completely forget to teach their kids about their own culture. i have friends who can't even write their own names in chinese :dahell:

Daps/reps. Breh the last 2 endings had me super sad. I get what he was going for but jeez.

I see TS' point. Aziz' voice can get irritating after a while, and I can see why people wouldn't think he has the ability to be a convincing lead. I didn't fully buy into it and I'm fine with calling it a second rate comedy but I did enjoy it overall and laughed at quite a few parts. Some eps were much better than others. To me the dialogue was the worst part. All the characters delivered dialogue in a stuff way that I don't think was intentional, and every actor clearly was saying lines written by Aziz, which would be fine if he wasn't basically playing himself. Some scenes felt like a lot of conversations with himself, said by other people.

The show really hit me. I'm 21 and moving to nyc for my dream job after graduation in July, lived in buffalo my whole life.

I really connect to that question of what the hell can I expect/what do I want from people? Can I accept that I'll never have enough?

Man I'll be 31 this week. shyt really hit me. When he read the Sylvia Plath poem at the end about the fig tree, and how he couldn't decide which fig he wanted because they all looked so good, and while he was waiting and deciding, all of the figs withered up and died? Damn. Enjoy NYC man. In life you can always do different things, especially before you're settled down, but when you get to your 30's it really does feel like the window to do certain adventurous things starts to close a little bit. Whether it's real or perceived. Enjoy NYC and experience as much as you can man! You're at a good age!

That dude is not gay. He's just Indian. Not a good look in that community to be shown as a womanizer like that. When he was in Dallas he spoke on not being cornered into stereotypes and he was like outright heated about it. Never heard him get loud like that.

Master of None is hella good.

But its good because dude knows how to write about our generation. Unlike "Girls" which had a spark when it started but now is just garbage.

Aziz the producer/writer >>>>>>>>>>>> Aziz the comedian.

He is not gay, just a swagless Indian dude.
Not surprised about his choice of partner though (:mjdrinking:smile: probably breed with the whitest white woman on the planet. Import his cac from some Scandinavian country like Tiger Woods and make sure she is 100% Aryan. It is usually the dark Indians that are color struck.
