I liked it. I loved the animation and how it was classic Disney princess illustration. I also love New Orleans and the fire flies cajun was on point.

Yall two hear the news on that Giants movie???? :damn: :damn:

shyt seems like its gonna be piff

http://www.therotoscopers.com/2013/08/22/brand-new-details-of-disneys-giants/

although it is unlikely I am hoping Angelina is another Black Princess and Jack is Black

but something tells me Princess and the Frog was a once in a lifetime "bone" thrown to us

If I am wrong though hopefully this one gets more promotion

:gladbron:Wait, 3 years ? :upsetfavre:Don't tease me.

oh gee your welcome too ungrateful

:upsetfavre:

but anyway they need to not start that whole "cars" shyt with "giants"

they need to be creative with the title

this is like if Pixar called shrek in 2001 ....OGRE...imagine if they called it that :dead:

it looks like princess and the frog really was the start of the revival era so far

I never watched the tangled movie or wreck it ralph but my gut tells me I won't like it

but that still does not mean it is not a revival era

I mean heck......in the Disney renaissance in the 90s in the early part they had the rescuers down under which had horrible ratings and years later Pocahontas which also had no critical acclaim at all besides the colors of the wind song

so anything is possible.....we may not have hit our high mark yet with the decade's "Aladdin" or "lion king"

zootopia on the other hand is gonna be trash.....I can feel it

Friend, I am thankful for the info:myman:

I liked tangled it was a twist on the classic. I also liked Wreck it Ralph I mean it had all the old school video games what's not to love? I also liked Pocahontas I think had more to do with people not being ready for a non "traditional" princess.

I just saw the a full preview of zootopia at the movies :beli: Why did they even?

Foul. This movie provided me with heavy eye-rolling material. She's a frog damn near the entire movie, she's ignorant as fukk, involved in voodoo and then a cac makes her dreams come true? I just rolled my eyes again. At least the other princesses married a man the same race as they are.
In The Little Mermaid, the mermaid turns into a human and marries a white dude.
In Aladdin, the arabial princess hooks up with Aladdin.
Mulan doesn't marry anyone in the end. She's a girl.

So basically, the main takeaway is that Disney is trying to get girls to think that having a happy marriage is determined by spending more than $20,000 on a wedding. The more money, the better. The honeymoon needs to be expensive too. At least $5,000. If you are making dough, then it isn't unreasonable to expect a $80,000 wedding, $20,000 ring, a $15,000 honeymoon. Thank you Disney.

:dead: you see what I mean right? I just had a feeling when I saw the drawing of the fox and all the other creatures

it just looked like it could be a average show on Cartoon Network...

I know there has been rare times like with the lion king where the movie preview doesn't have a classic feel but the actual movie surprisingly ends upbeing classic(just youtube lion king preview and look at how anticlimactic it is :dead: )

but I think zootopia is exactly what it looks like....trash they need to just cancel that movie I mean come on

btw isn't it amazing that the movie where Black folks had the most actors, actresses, and the singer who sang the opening song whose name I forgot..... was in a movie about animals(The Lion King) :beli:

surprised at the comments...the movie itself was pretty good IMO

the song Ne-yo had for the movie was underrated and should have been included in the film instead of the end credits

my only issues was that I think it should have been half an hour longer

but the thing that pissed me off the most was the whole Prince Naveem bullshyt....

I hate how they knew there would be controversy either way if they went with an obvious white or black prince so they chose the "easy way" to go with the racially ambiguous prince

all they had to do was make him Black just like her father......complete nonsense

I don't even know why it would be controversy if he would've been black. If all the other princesses can have a prince of their own ethnic group, why not the black princess????

It's just saying that the black man is no good to be a prince.

A bw has to choose a non-black man if she wants to live "happily ever after" :pacspit:

Yes, this type of filming is INFLUENCING our young daughters to date out.

On IMDB, before the movie came out, I have read that their were black WOMEN in the threads would have been PISSED if the prince was BLACK. :pacspit: When the voice actor for him was announced, they were ALL jumping for joy :pacspit:

I don't even think it would've matter to production revenue if the prince was a genuine black man from a fictional African country. Hollywood is just too damn racist to let a black couple be on screen and live happily ever after.

Propaganda is a powerful tool. If they can influence our pretty young black daughters to date out and seek other men, which in turn will be another black mother who wont procreate with a black man, thus eliminating the black gene pool.

They will NEVER make a cartoon with a white princess or even a non-black one who lives "happily ever after" with a black man. Because they think black men can't supply that to his woman. It is UNREALISTIC to live happily ever after with a black man.

It's fukking disgusting. And fukk all the sambos who let their daughter watch that white-supremacist filth. ANd don't let me get started on the black villain either.

:salute:

And don't get me started on the whole thing Black parents do where they just give their daugthers white dolls and seem to think it cannot affect them in anyway. Saying things like "its just a doll".

My little sis is 10 now but I just realized weeks ago in her whole collection of dolls she had when younger, out of dozens.....she only has 2 that are Black. I'm not gonna lie....one of them was the caramel skinned one with long straight black hair and a nice ass and I had my way with her when nobody was around :diddy: but that's besides the point :whoa:

Anyway :dead: at Black women jerking themselves off over a non white guy. I'm willing to bet they did not want a Black guy because they think he would have been too ghetto.

MAN that board at IMDB was ridiculous.

These, I assume, were the "nerdy, cosplaying" black women on the boards. They already had white men, or so they say, thus they were crossing their fingers to see what color the prince would be. That was the BIGGEST suspense on the board.

And as i said, when the voice actor was announced (a white Brazilian), true enough, EVERYONE was jumping for joy like a bunch of c00ns. :pacspit: They even said that they would be disappointed, and is glad that the prince isn't black ("Black women have so many options in the world, for him to be a black prince will be HIGHLY disappointing"). There was NOT ONE objection (accept the lone black man) on the boards. It was a truely sickening site. That black men wasn't even sought after BY HIS OWN WOMAN, and that ANYTHING, even a Cac Brazilian (with nonblack blood) was BETTER than a negro man.

Those were some true sambos on that board. WIth that being said, I know black women in REAL life DID boycott the film and wouldn't take her children to see it. Saying why they couldnt have a black prince :why:

And to make things worst, MOST of the people behind the film were white. EVEN the jazz score was produced by a white man. This is WHY I LOATHE Disney products and films.

Yall stupid. Its a good movie and my daughters love watching it. The main theme to the story is that it takes hard work to get where you wanna be in life, no shortcuts.

Tiana's father is portrayed as hard working man who couldnt fulfill his dreams of opening a restaraunt because he had to work extra hard to provide for his family.

Prince Naveen is not a CAC

Yes Tiana was a frog for a good bit of the movie but its based in New Orleans....most of the characters were black

Alot of good Jazz music

And they portray that little rich cac bytch as the lazy, thirsty bum that she really is.

Overall a pretty good movie

The movie with our most Black actors, actresses, etc was a movie about animals breh....(Lion King)

:wtf:

Elton wrote "Circle of Life" and Tim Rice produced it.....but its a shame a lot of people will not know the name of the woman who sang the song at the beginning
