It’s very worrying how many times they’ve done reshoots and how extensively.

Sounds like they’re trying to turn down the comedy and make it darker and more horror but I have to ask why they hired Shane black in the first place then. Sounds like he delivered a Shane black movie.


Maybe it comes out as a better film

If it ends up being good nobody will care,if it ends up being bad all the talk will be maybe the movie was better before and what a waste of time and money it was to do reshoots.

Reshoots happen all the time, sometimes it turns out better and sometimes it becomes a bigger mess.

Personally I worry more about news sites increasingly using this kind of shyt to write hit pieces targeted at the audience who already wants to see this fail. Because if a movie tested poorly, then trying to fix it with reshoots seems like a very logical move to me.

Which means if anything they’re adding something to it to “franchise it” smh But like @TheGodling said, sites write this stuff knowing it’s not a big deal but knowing the fan base doesn’t know that and they want you all riled up and want you all nervous and know you’ll read anything they publish. I know the game. And cats fall for it hook, line, and sinker every single time. Smarten up fellas lol

I know Shane Black has ties to the series so in theory him directing this should work. But its not his lane, he excels in buddy cop movies and should continue to make those (Lethal Weapon, Last Boy Scout, Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, The Nice Guys). I really hope that is his next project after this.

Yes it did. That most recent trailer looked a lot better than the first 2 but sounds like they didn't like the climax. On some die hard w. A Vengeance which is a dope movie with a fumbled ending.

Like I said...Im going to see the movie...but the cast really was a let down....The first predator gave you all the ingredients for a blassic....

Obviously they hired him because he can mix action and humor and Fox wanted the flick to appeal to a bigger crowd than just 80s nostalgia action nuts.

People forget that Predators was also supposed to be the going-back-to-the-roots movie of the franchise and it didn't move the needle (any needle for that matter), so Fox probably welcomed the change.
