Well, finally got off my ass to take a pic of my car. To be fair to myself (lol), I'm sick and it has been snowing here so, I haven't really been in the mood to do anything. It's a 2011 Chevy Malibu LT. Keeping up with the common color theme, my car is also wine tint/cranberry red. I didn't take pics of the inside, but I have 2-tone café brown/mocha interior with leather seats. Beside the color, the main selling point was the keyless start key fob. shyt comes in handy(and I've been using it). My pops is salty because his Dodge Magnum (sitting beside mines) doesn't have KS. Everything else is pretty much stock and I have no plans to add anything.

:umad: pops

Without further delay....

What are yalls thoughts on buying cars that are 3-4 yrs old...is it worth the money? I want to get a 2013 tundra

It would depend on a number of factors.... Price, physical condition, mileage, car and obligation to payments. I would purchase if it had low mileage (10-30k), great condition and low monthly payment. It's a truck, so there are added benefits and truck resale value is generally good. Can you pay off this car before the end of your loan term and do you plan on keeping it or trading it in should be considered when purchasing a car.

I want to get a truck for no more than 21,000 and I plan on trading in my current car. I don't want payments to be more than $350 a month. I hope to get the car with less than 40,000 miles on it

I'm not a car salesman, so take what I say with a grain of salt. Trucks cost more for the simple fact that more can be done with them than with a car. Unless you have a really good car that they are willing to take off a decent amount of the sticker price and/or a good down payment, then you're gonna spend somewhere between 24-28K for a mid size truck, especially with low mileage. The payment will be dependent on your credit, so if you're credit is straight, then you should be able to stay around 350 or below.

I had sort of the same dilemma you had except my credit was shot and I wanted a truck. I surprisingly got a car loan through my credit union for a great rate, but the max afforded to me was ony 15K. Since I didn't have anything to trade and I wasn't going to pay a ridiculous DP, I had to settle for my Malibu.

Guaranteed if you pay less than 21,000 for a truck, it's one of those compact trucks or it has high mileage (60K+)

What are yalls thoughts on buying brand new cars compared to buying cars that are used
If this is your first car, then it is better to go the used car route. That is what I plan on doing. I was planning on getting the 2016 maxima but after seeing my estimates for finance and insurance I was :whoa: I have no credit history at all so the estimates seem "fair" :yeshrug:. After I get my tax refund I plan on instead buying a 2009-10 Maxima with 120k miles or less. Might even go for an Altima.

I just want my car for the summer :blessed: I figure I can finish paying the car off by summer of 2017 and start planning that new car purchase for 2018 :takedat:

Might even fukk around and go for that Infiniti Q50 :shaq::whoo::dame:

I'm on my 3rd car which is paid off...my next car will more than likely be the 2015 maxima...I'm not a huge fan of the new models
