should I get my oil change at the dealership or can I go to Good year/Jiffy lube to get my shyt done..this will be my first oil change since it's a brand new car.

I really don't want to have to drive all the way to the dealership because i would be using way more gas to get there and probably spend more getting it done.

PLease advise brehs.

Do it yourself :upsetfavre:

This

An Oil change is so easy: Jack up car, find oil pan, find bolt that holds oil in, put something to catch oil under that bolt, remove bold, let oil drain, put bolt back in, remove oil filter, put some oil in new filter and put it in, open hood, remove the oil cap, fill w/ however many qts of oil your car takes, put oil cap back, close hood, put the car back on the ground, start car.

Its that easy :merchant:

You can get a regular oil change done at Goodyear or Jiffy Lube. However with transmission fluid changes, I always advice people to take their car back to the dealer. Or like like people said above, you can just do it yourself and keep your money. What type of car you got? Does it require synthetic oil or regular?

Polygraph Steez,

That civic is clean, I'd take it and put some more rims on it though. I'll post pics of what I'm talking bout later.

I know a dude who used to work at pep boys and he said when they were backed up they didn't even change the oil. They just topped it off. Ever since then I never trusted those types of places.

Yea, I feel you but you are taking those chances anytime you're not changing your oil yourself. You would have to be an unlucky person to run into those problems plus that pep boys location would be dumb as hell to have those type of business practices with the amount of potential class action suits they would face from nikkas when their cars fukk up and service records tie the promblems back to that pep boys location. If I was you, I would call ducktales on that story.

LOL you are naive as hell if you think this doesn't happen at most places...
