You know what I mean, its different from having a parry/guard move tha nit being baked into how you play the game. A lot of people want the return of button mashers though

Seems like the only way to get $$$ to develop a game these days is to point out how similar it is to every other critically acclaimed and successful game that's come out.

I'm playing Bayonetta 1-3 again right now :yeshrug:. I'll never pick up ER ever again. And there won't be a need for it because some other game just like it with more coats of paint is right around the corner. What's going on with these games is like the JRPG craze in the 90s. A lot of great games, but they're basically the same game. Genre is just treading water.

breh the dark souls games themselves play considerably diff from each other so IDK what you getting at. the bones are similar but these soul likes play different from each other more often than not

I’ve always prefered soulslike combat to the super fast combo/heavy shyt

If my character rocking a big ass sword I want my hits to feel like they have some weight to them, not like you’re tagging someone up with a punch of Mayweather jabs for points. Even Final Fantasy 16 makes the sword feel like a rapier or some shyt. Nobody should take 30+ sword hits in a row and only lose a quarter of their health :skip:



Also Armored Core 6 is not a soulslike at all and is a 10/10 action game so it’s not like From is a one trick pony either
