Who cares. Floyd Sr is a shyt trainer, anyhow.

Floyd Sr is a very good trainer, but like any trainer, he excels with a certain type of fighter. Dirrell, stylewise, is an excellent fit for Sr. Sr's style is more suited for slick boxers as opposed to someone like a Hatton

Center self, inner self
He trained Money May up until he got locked up, his son can hate him all he wants, he trained him and put a strong base that his brother(s) built upon

Oscar De La Hoya for a long ass time

Ricky Hatton, who can't box for shyt, not a good match for the two "You should've fukking listened to me! From Day 1, you should've listened to me"-Sr after round 1 of Pac-Man fight :pachaha:

Chad Dawson and Joan Guzman and some other fighters I'm forgetting have also had stints with FMSr.

When it comes to boxing, you WANT a mayweather in your corner, they may be retarded with everything else but they KNOW boxing

I'm not talking about who he trained in his past; i'm talking about who he's training now. I don't think Sr is that great of a trainer, though he has had some success in the past.

BoxingScene.com was advised by several sources who are close to the situation, that IBF featherweight champion Billy Dib (35-1, 21KOs) is potentially being replaced as the opponent for undefeated contender Jayson Velez (19-0, 14KOs).

The fight was being targeted for December 1 at New York's Madison Square Garden, but there are several issues going on in the background. The event is being headlined by a Showtime televised junior middleweight collision between former three division king Miguel Cotto and WBA "regular" 154-pound champion Austin Trout.

One source told BoxingScene that Showtime has an issue with Dib being part of the televised card. Although several years have passed, those in high authority still have fresh memories of the dreadful HBO televised fight between Dib and Steven Luevano in 2008 [Bernard Hopkins-Kelly Pavlik pay-per-view].

Other sources, with knowledge of situation, believe Dib's removal is the direct result of the escalating war of words between rapper/promoter 50 Cent and former friend Floyd Mayweather Jr. The two individuals were once close friends, but their relationship went sour over a business deal gone bad.

Over the last few days, Curtis Jackson [50 Cent] has engaged Mayweather in a war of words on Twitter. Jackson has also taken public shots at Golden Boy Promotions and their company president Oscar De La Hoya. Jackson's position wasn't helped when fighthype.com recently published a revealing handwritten letter to Mayweather. The letter was written by one of Jackson's associates, Tommy "Smalls" Summers, who pleaded with Mayweather to break his existing business relationships with Golden Boy and powerful adviser Al Haymon.

Dib is promoted by Jackson under a company called SMS Promotions.

However, Golden Boy and Haymon are working with Miguel Cotto Promotions on the December 1st event. Obviously, there is absolutely no reason for Golden Boy and Haymon to help Jackson secure a televised position for one of his fighters on a high profile event. And while Cotto Promotions is the lead promoter of the event, they have a very close working relationship with both Golden Boy and Haymon.

One source indicates that all of the involved parties are currently searching for a respectable replacement to fight Velez on show.

Imo,..this is a bad move.
As the insider tampering and trading of senior training and ruining dela Hoya.
Making him susceptible to senseless brawling from a pedigree'd tactician as a boxer.
Is what allowed pbf to actually dispel dela Hoya so convincingly.
I really think at the end of the long winding days/spectrum/scope of senior vs junior.
That it is a tongue in cheek work.
To ruin the best talent in this type of event. to protect junior's spot,..plus provide insider information to junior about a fighter's pedigree.

If you watched dela Hoya as a boxer and saw his regression and style change with senior.
I feel it is plausible that dela Hoya was purposefully ruined with senior as his trainer.
To make him susceptible to the loss of pbf.
For the draw and money fight that made pbf a household draw and name past large HBO contracts and boxing enthusiasts.

Even if it was not a work.
I feel having senior train you is an inferior product to what pbf is trained by.
So even if you face pbf. You have no way of actually beating him with inferior training pedigree wise to the Floyd family braintrust.

Only way i would train with senior is after pbf concretely retired.
even, then i feel with mason or senior you would not get the full pedigree and have missing holes. Susceptible to being exploited by a better trained and studied fighter with the proper tools.

As i feel they really will not relinquish the full mayweather family pedigree to an outsider.

This is why 50's career is where it's at. And that's coming from someone who doesn't mind dude's music at all. He's gotta stop the fukkery and try to become relevant again musically but I guess this nikka really doesn't care.

:whoa:
He doesn't need to do anything at all. His bank account growing every year.
Him being musically relevant again just wont happen. The kid just having fun right now.

Plus I'm willing to bet Floyd will go broke first before 50 Cent ever will. Dude can't fight inside the ring forever and I hope Floyd does continue to gamble away his money....:shaq:
