You see them work one day a week but I'm sure they spend the week preparing and meeting for the game on the weekend. I'm sure they also study film and make sure they are updated to all the rules.

Exactly, and it's not like they are ON STRIKE. They got LOCKED OUT!!! HUGE difference. When the quality of your product (that Goodell supposedly cares SO MUCH ABOUT) is being affected, they need to fall back. And if it's only 2 million dollars? Are you fukking serious????

These guys get paid b/c they are the best at their position. That should be painfully obvious at this point. It's blatant that everyone cannot do what they do. That crab in a barrel mentality of "they make too much" sounds like some old racist shyt that cats do to hate on players making money now.

Also...the refs study the rules, plays, but also PLAYERS...they know how players like to do certain things...I mean it isn't easy. They watch film on players too, looking for dirty ones, guys that like to start stuff (Finnagan I see you), all kinds of things...


They have to know players b/c they have to know tendencies and styles as well... Some guys like a fast pace (no huddle), so they have to be aware of that as well. I mean, they are professionals with a Union as well...

I said this before the season too a big part of reffing is controlling the game and the players . Football is a physical game so they need to keep the shenanigans to a minimum . All it takes is one person pulling a golden Tate ( a unclean hit not saying goldens was dirty but similar type hits with helmets)on some player he doesn't like to get someone injured. Especially with guys like corTlandt around
