some of y'all have no vision and just automatically assume one piece fits every puzzle the same. Look how many of y'all just assumed Rondo was gonna make the mavs a contender
. Josh Smith won't even get the chances to do some of the things I've seen mentioned in this thread. Dude will play pf and he will be at best the 3rd option. Dude will do dumb shyt from time to time but his defensive and rebounding strengths will be a positive addition that is a big boost to our depth. I also think his passing is a tad underrated fwiw.
Someone asked about dmo, this would allow him to be the primary backup at the 4 and 5. He and Dwight played well together in Dwight's first game back but we've gotten away from posting up dmo as much as we need to so hopefully this should help. Plus dmo going up against other team's backup bigs is a scary sight.
We're still one piece away and I think we have the best shot at Dragic too. After the Rondo deal idk if phx can hold out for dmo or Jones (if he's back in time). If we can get Dragic for say Canaan, Pap, and the lotto pick from NO...

No one was stopping Lamarcus in the playoffs. Dude was hitting some shots that made no damn sense. Turnaround J's from 20 feet out. But TJ was hitting open jumpers and 3's tho. Championship squads with two players that shoot as bad as Dwight and Josh? Not happening.

Bruh it would be incredible if we could get Dragic now but from the outside looking in I'd guess the trade deadline makes more sense. The move is probably a smaller scale type of transaction like trading Black or Dorsey for a shytty 2nd.
Oh no doubt they HAVE to ask for Dmo especially with Terrence out. I don't think they have much leverage though. Look at what Boston got for waiting too long to deal Rondo. I think dragic is better but I find it hard to believe phx can command anything more than one of Dmo/Jones and the NO pick plus maybe a filler like Shved. They might not even be able to get that. The Rondo move takes one potential dragic suitor out of the mix plus Gogi's feelings about the Rockets aren't exactly a secret. If dragic wants to be a rocket then phx better take what they can get.

Strong move. There probably isn't a better fit for him anywhere in the league. I like Terrence jones all around game more because he can shoot but he's hurt so..... This moves helps defensively against a team like golden state.

Unlike boston phienix can just let dragic walk because they have Bledsoe, Thomas, and tyler ennis. The situations arent same at all between boston and phoenix. If we want dragic, were gonna have to blow them away with a offer. Might even have to throw terry in.
Also if we get dragic with this crew im pretty sure ray allen will want to sign with us

Man we'll just have to agree to disagree on the first point. I don't see phx letting gogi walk for nothing since it makes zero sense financially or competitively speaking. Nobody is gonna blow them away with an offer for a rental that will only reup with a contender. That franchise also follows the Morey model of asset collecting and they'll never get their Harden by letting nikkas like dragic walk. Before anyone says Morey let Parsons walk I hope they acknowledge that he had to honor the wink wink agreement he had with Dwight/Parsons' agent.
I kinda hope you're right though because if phx lets him walk I'm confident he'll end up in Houston for nothing. Also goes without saying I hope you're right about Ray Allen too.
