They only have two years left on his deal

Someone will offer 5 mil at least

Just take the hit and keep it moving

They should've taken the original deal from the Kings. The cap hit of $5.4 mil is still pretty big IMO, even with the cap going up.

Dude I have and the team sucks. They have a streaky point guard who can't consistently shoot over 39%. They had Josh who can't shoot playing SF. Got Monroe who can't shoot beyond 18 ft playing PF and they have a center in Drummond who has no post moves and can't shoot.

That team is god awful and Dumars should be ashamed for putting together a trash team like that.

yeah the cap hit of 5.4 over 5 years is huge

just give him the 14 mil next year and the year after and be done with it imo

That would still clog up their front court.. Pistons young guys need to be playing 36-40 minutes out there. Landry and to a lesser extent Thompson would need minutes

Dude nobody is saying Josh a star but he can be a good piece on the right team. I always looked at dude like Shawn Marion when he was young. In the righ system like small ball Shawn was a great player. In a more conventional team Shawn was garbage.

Even as a veteran with the Mavs he fit because he was just a defensive specialist who was not asked to create shots or be a top 3 option.

Also I could care less what team he went to. I just watch games and the players don't have anything invested in these teams.
