No matter how ppl want to distribute the blame it's a bad look for everyone involved. There's really no excuses. The team's foundation was built on CP3, Booker, and Ayton, surrounded by 3/d guys (Bridges, Cam, Crowder, etc.,). #6 offense and #7 defense the year they went to the Finals. Mind you, they weren't even a top 4 team that year (BK, LAC, LAL, MIL >>>*) but injuries are a part of the game.

However, since then, the team has morphed so many times but got worse defensively each new iteration; this season they were #28. Always felt Booker was getting some unearned praise/elevation for their Finals run and benefiting from CP3 running the show, but at this point he'd probably benefit from a fresh start elsewhere. Away from anymore aging and/or injury-prone stars.

Loud =/=leadership. Spurs org and DRobs leadership amounted to yearly chokejobs before Duncan arrived. Duncan allowed Pop to be Pop. He took his shyt which made other players have to fall in line. He led by example and with his words when needed. He sacrificed his numbers and accolades for the good of the team.
:gucci: You mean David Robinson, the MVP winning Olympic gold medalist that won 60 games 2 years before TD got to the NBA? That was on the Spurs team that finished either 1st or 2nd in the western conference EVERY year from 1990-96?

Pretending that Duncan came in and led them takes a torn labrum amount of reaching when all he had to do is come in and hoop. Kawhi is in that boat. TD is in that boat. Kareem is in that boat. Put them in situations where they don't have the backing of vets and structured organisations and they face the same problems you say KD face. Because they're not the personality types to corral the team under the leadership. They just go out and play and hope that galvanises everyone else.. .
That is in no way comparable to a guy that has been outwardly unhappy in 3 straight spots that were all of his choosing or shytting on former teammates from burner accounts. Duncan never needed a pep talk about how Jordan played within an offense in the middle of a series that his team trailed and ultimately faced elimination in because he was pouting about isos and resisting the only offense he ever won anything within (that also won a couple times without him and actually ran him out of OKC in embarrassing fashion).

So because KD's unhappy with the results (losing) it means he's a bad leader? And pep talk? You know that Kobe needed a "pep talk" to play within the triangle offense right? Same thing with MJ? You really just grasping at straws to push a narrative.

You want an example of a bad leader than look at Charles Barkley. While his teammates were working to get in shape, him as the best player would be half assin it on the sideline eating Big Macs blowing them.. THATS bad leadership. KD, is a "lead by example" leader just like players Kawhi, Duncan, and Kareem were.

How many chips before Tim? shyt...how many Finals? That orgs championship pedigree and culture started with Tim. You dont do what the Spurs did over the time they did it with the various shifts made without Tim's leadership. Again, just because a nikka aint loud and performing doesnt mean he isnt leading.

KD chose to leave an org with vets where all he had to do was hoop ie not lead and that is the only situation he has ever won in. KD keeps ending up unhappy in situations he is putting himself in. You create multiple situations that go bad and you are upset and ready to bounce each time...even the situation where you aint have to lead and almost 3peated? Yeah thats a poor reflection on your leadership.

Wow this guy sucks in every one of his posts

The Spurs were winning games and having nice 55 win seasons and getting bounced in the playoffs

It was every year until Tim Duncan got there

You smoke too much weed your brain is cooked
