i have been this situations several times.
most recently a junky on on Q train was nodding off and dropped 40 bucks. i shook his knee to wake him up and told him to pick it up.

another time some old lady dropped a wad of 20's that i think she had tucked in her bra. i had to call out to her several times before she responded to me but i gave it back.

another time i was walking to MOMA with my girl and some dude on a bike had a bunch of bills fly out of his pocket. he got off the bike and picked them up but there where a few he missed so i helped him get the rest....
