He really couldn't, since he was a still a sitting Judge until 2015. He could have potentially violated judicial ethics by doing so. He had to remain neutral while being an active judge. Hard to do that if you're writing a book.

another great point of this whole trial was that with the right amount of paper you can buy freedom if oj didn't have that money he would've pleaded guilty for a life sentence. Cacs mad that oj used money to his benefit when they've been doing it forever.

In a recent interview, he said he COULDN'T because of him as a judge is unauthorized to. He said he did wanted to write one though. I dunno since he's now retired last year if he can now or not.
