Also I love how they are playing up the racial divide between the jurors but that part with Seinfeld and Martin was all fukkery. Couldn't believe they had nikkaz in there cabbage patchin and shyt after they "won" the vote. shyt was hilarious when the black chick nugged dude like "come on it's OK" after he tried to make a decision for everyone in the room.
That scene was clearly a suggestion into the supposed group think nature of blacks (for whites to come to terms with the Jury's ultimate decision). Even added some simple-minded Negro flair with the boisterous celebrating over winning a Seinfeld vs. Martin tv decision.

As :mjpls: as the scene was I was still entertained

My nikka I was too but it pissed me off because it looked like "these nikkaz have no chill" while the CAC's was all :beli:.

If they did that scene for Martin, think how they portray the verdict.

I'm seriously bout to go back to the first episode right now and start watching. shyt is GOAT

Hell naw. I did that shyt before and it was like four dollars and hour or some shyt but you have to remember that very rarely do trials last longer than a couple days, it's bullshyt but this is why some people don't register to vote. Its also easy as fukk to get out of it if you know what you're doing...don't agree with either side and you don't get picked

I was suppose to go tomorrow but it got rescheduled to next Thursday. My 1st time going

Just when you think an episode is going to be a step down in quality you are hit with hilarity. This had to be one of the funniest episodes, before this episode we didn't know diddly about the jurors and they slotted into the fray seamlessly. Some of the exchanges just made me choke, like Bailey with that comment about rape between married couples (stonefaced) not giving a fuk. Or OJ when cochran kept putting him on hold and the pitch in his voice as he apologized :pachaha:

It was all going good until they had to return to the well of absolving Mr Kardashian of his involvement with the evil OJ Simpson. Those scenes of him starring into space and have that dumb expression on his face were so transparent. Does anyone in the know have any testimony or account from a family friend who states Robert eventually assumes OJ did it?

O.J.'s friend says he doubts Simpson's innocence

From Correspondent Art Harris

LOS ANGELES (CNN) -- O.J. Simpson intimate Robert Kardashian says he now has doubts that Simpson is innocent of murdering his ex-wife, Nicole Brown Simpson, and will say so if called to testify in the upcoming civil trial.

The statements were made in an interview with Barbara Walters to air on "ABC's 20-20" Friday evening. The interview was to promote the latest book on the Simpson case, "American Tragedy: The Uncensored Story of The Simpson Defense."

"I have doubts," Kardashian said.

Simpson was acquitted last October of the murders of Nicole and her friend, Ronald Goldman. He now faces wrongful-death lawsuits filed by the victims' families.

In the interview, Kardashian said on the day Simpson was to be arrested he found him with a gun in Kardashian's daughter's bedroom and talked him out of killing himself. At first, he prayed with Simpson, he said. Then, he jolted him by warning him he'd "go to hell" if he pulled the trigger. Then he begged Simpson not to do it in his daughter's bedroom because "my daughter couldn't sleep in this bed."

Together they went outside so Simpson could find a more appropriate place to shoot himself, he said.

"He told me at that time, 'I can't live with the pain, the pain is so great,' " Kardashian tells ABC in a partial transcript of the interview obtained by CNN.

A source familiar with the interview told CNN there are more "blockbusters" from Kardashian in the unexpurgated sit-down with Walters.

Outside his house, Kardashian suggested Simpson shoot himself by the backyard swimming pool. "I said, 'Why don't you do it right here,' knowing for some reason that he probably wouldn't. And he said -- looked up at the sun and said, 'I can't do it here, I'll be baking in the sun.' I said 'O.J., you're not going to be here, your spirit's going to be gone. What do you care!' "

So they walked about, and Simpson vetoed several other suicide spots.

That's when his friend A.C. Cowlings took over the suicide watch, and off they went in the Bronco on the famous low- speed chase. Kardashian claims at one point Simpson actually put the gun to his head and pulled the trigger, but it didn't go off.

"By taking him around the house, I know I saved his life," Kardashian said. "I also think I did in the Bronco as well as A.C. (Cowlings). A.C. definitely saved his life."

The man with the bag
Kardashian was the man seen carrying Simpson's garment bag the day Simpson flew back from Chicago. Prosecutors speculated the bag may have contained Simpson's bloody clothes and or the murder weapon. But Kardashian says -- as he told CNN a year ago -- that he took the bag from Simpson's secretary and doesn't know what was inside because he never looked.

He says he tried to give the bag to police at the house, but they refused to take his luggage. "The police could have taken it an at any time," he said.

"They never sought to do so, in fact when we turned it in to the court nine months later, they still never did any tests to see if there was blood. I don't believe they really wanted to know the answer. I think it was better to leave speculation and to let the public think there was something sinister about these bags!"

Plea bargain suggested
He also says attorney Robert Shapiro suggested Simpson plead to a lesser charge and that Kardashian plead as an accessory to murder -- something that outraged both Simpson and Kardashian.

F. Lee Bailey gave CNN the same account, but Shapiro denies it. Prosecutor Gil Garcetti said that no such plea was ever discussed.

Kardashian says Simpson also badly flunked a lie detector test given by the defense. He explained his performance by saying, his "heart was pounding" every time he heard Nicole's name.

Asked if collaborating on a book about intimate defense details doesn't violate attorney client privilege, Kardashian appears to tap dance in his answer by saying the court will have to determine that since he's on a witness list for the civil trial.

He also says:

  • Shapiro earned the most money on the dream team--$100,000 a month, or $1.2 million, as CNN has reported, but that Simpson still owes him money;

  • Shapiro believed Simpson was guilty. "I overheard Mr.Shapiro at one point in the courtroom--during a break, say to Mr. Simpson we should plea bargain; you would get 12 years or whatever it was; and Robert Kardashian would get so much time as an accessory...my jaw dropped...I was astounded! And I was shaking!, I was so mad, so upset...He knew that I knew nothing about any of this!"
Kardashian says Simpson yelled at Shapiro, saying, "What are you talking about? I don't ever want to hear this again! I didn't do this!"

Confronted with Shapiro's denial, Kardashian insists he's the one telling the truth, and that the reason Shapiro was shoved aside as the lead attorney was because "we didn't need our lead attorney having concerns about guilt." He said "Johnnie Cochran related better to Mr. Simpson" and knew how to court a predominantly African American jury.

Racial makeover
In the Walters interview Lawrence Schiller, one of the authors of the book, said the defense gave Simpson's house a racial makeover to make it more palatable to the predominantly black jury. He says lawyers took photos of white women off the wall at Simpson's home before the jury tour, and replaced them with black faces. "The white women came off the walls, and the black women came marching in," Schiller told Walters.

The Dismissed Jurors:

  • Roland Cooper - #228 (dismissed January 18) - Black male, 49, who works for the Hertz rental car company. Allegedly met Simpson at a Hertz function. (Motion by the prosecution, objection by the defense.)
  • (Name Unknown) - #320 (dismissed January 18) - Hispanic female, 39, works as a letter carrier. Apparently involved in an abusive relationship with her ex-boyfriend while on the jury. (Motion by the defense, objection by the prosecution.)
  • Kathryn Murdoch - #2017 (dismissed February 7) - White female, 64, a retired legal secretary. Was found out to be a patient of the same doctor who had been treating Simpson for arthritis. The doctor was expected to be a defense witness. (Motion by the defense, objection by the prosecution.)
  • Michael Knox - #620 (dismissed March 1) - Black male, 47, who works as a courier. Reportedly offered to bet a week's wages (before being empaneled) that Simpson would be found innocent of double murder. Wore a San Francisco 49ers cap at times while serving on the jury and allegedly spent too much time 'admiring' Simpson's stuff during jury's visit to Rockingham. After dismissal, co-wrote 'The Private Diary of an O.J. Juror'. (Motion by the prosecution, objection by the defense.)
  • Tracy Kennedy - #602 (dismissed March 17) - Male of American Indian and White heritage, 53, married, teaches high school and interviews prospective employees for Amtrak. First targeted by Robert Shapiro during a sidebar in mid-February for continually staring 'out into space' and not paying attention in the jury box. Later was accused of writing a book and dismissed when caught lying about having juror information on his notebook computer. Co-author of 'Mistrial of the Century'. (Motion by the defense, objection by the prosecution.)
  • Jeanette Harris - #462 (dismissed April 5) - Black female, 39, married, works as an employment interviewer. Found out to have had past experience with domestic violence which she failed to report during jury selection. (Motion by the prosecution, objection by the defense.)
  • Tracy Hampton - #452 (dismissed May 1) - Black female, 26, single, employed as a flight attendant. Told Ito she 'couldn't take it anymore'. After her dismissal, posed for Playboy. (Motion by the court, no objection by either side.)
  • Francine Florio-Bunten - #353 (dismissed May 26) - White female, 39, married, technician with Pacific Bell. Told Ito she thought Cryer may be writing a book. An anonymous letter (claiming to be from a literary agent's receptionist) accused her of contracting a book titled 'Standing Alone - A Vote For Nicole'. However, according to Ito, she was 'primarily' dismissed for lying about reading a note written on a newspaper by Chavarria. Now claims she likely would've voted 'guilty'. (Motion by the defense, objection by the prosecution.)
  • Willie Craven - #1489 (dismissed June 5) - Black male, 55, married, employed as a postal operations manager. Accused of being a 'bully' and intimidating other jurors, especially Chavarria. (Motion by the prosecution, objection by the defense.)
  • Farran Chavarria - #1427 (dismissed June 5) - Hispanic female, 29, single, employed as a real estate appraiser. Accused Craven of harassing her. Wanted off the jury. Wrote a 'clandestine' note on a newspaper and allegedly showed it to Florio-Bunten. (Motion by the defense, objection by the prosecution.)

While casting him to play OJ was waaaayyy off base, I think Cuba is doing a good job with the part. I wonder what other actors were considered for the part.
