Vic wasn't the confused jit from the earlier eps that Oz had to keep guiding on training wheels. Oz finally realized that especially with that pep talk and then that final conversation.

Dude became a legit threat even tho he was his right hand. Vic would either become a weakness that the opps exploit or someone that truly sees Oz for what he is and rebel. Plus Vic is the rare dude who seen him at his lowest. Oz don't need nikkas like that with the upward trajectory he was headed to in Gotham.

Its sad but scumbags can't take those types of chances.

Oz dropped bodies all over the city and didn't try and cover up any of them up. Not like murders were being investigated in this show anyway. Apparently the authorities and the Bat were on a sabbatical. No reason to make it look like a robbery.
