shader quality is a performance killer. and what AA settings are you using?
it seems to be a fallacy to think that current hardware should be able to 'max' out whatever game. especially games that include 16xQ CSAA. PC games have options so you can scale them to your system, and make your own decisions about performance vs image quality
that 'ubersampling' (I think it's 4x SSAA) shyt in The Witcher 2 is a good example. it's an available setting, but the game wasn't meant to be played like that. it's really meant for taking pretty screenshots and such, but to this day you'll find people complaining about it's performance... because it's an old game and they spent $xxx on their gpu that can max out BF4, so there must be something wrong with this game

I would think that the xbox controllers are still the best for PC games as its what developers put support into.
Has Microsoft released another statement about xbox one controllers being able to connect to the PC? They said "sometime" in 2014

i dont own either but damn is the ds4 comfy. i haven't fully explored with all my games but
