it's a desert out here for anything reasonably close to msrp above the 4070 super. i'm still like "what if i had just gotten an XTX instead of the XT" back a few months ago when they were sometimes going under $800

Was on the same boat brotha. The 4070 Super I got was $100+ over MSRP so not bad but it's disappointing to have to even pay that much

If you're not playing any games right now. Makes sense to sell while streets is dried up for an easy markup.

Yeah unfortunately. Wish I would’ve been able to cop before they tacked on the additional 10% for tariffs. I just got back from a trip to Jamaica though so I wasn’t paying much attention to drops.

Nah. If you wait for emails they’ll either never come or they’ll be gone by the time you get it.

I realized when I was trying to get a Strix 4090 a couple years ago that Asus tends to do their drops once a day at around the same time. It was just a matter of me figuring out what that time was and making sure that I’m on the store page refreshing until I can add to cart.

With the 4090 it was 6 am EST. With the 5090 it seems to be around 7:30 am EST. You gotta move quick as soon as you see it though because the bots are on it as soon as you can add to cart. It may take a couple attempts over the span of a day or two to get it. If you can’t checkout because it sells out before your order goes through, leave it in your cart. That’s just one less step for you the next day when they’re available again.
