It was AWFUL. All these companies selling "gaming desktops" without an SSD should be ashamed of themselves. macOS is still pretty good with mechanical drives, but this Windows 10 shyt is ridiculous. All the "tweaking" in the world still has your disk usage at damn near 50% or so at idle...and not some old ass drive either. Firecuda, WD Blue/Black whatever. That shyt is unbearable.

@daze23 have you played the Bethesda VR games on your Vive (I think they’re out)? I haven’t set up my Vive in my new place yet, but I’m tempted to, to play these games (and Doom VR).

If you have, is it teleport jump or full locomotion? How do you feel about the combat?
$60 standalone with no discount if you already own FO4 :why:

Damn...not worth it at that price.

Side note: fukk Bethesda for making this a Vive exclusive. I want it on my rift. I guess that’s what we get for oculus having all those exclusives (Lone Echo being the biggest one).

Apparently I already bought FO4 VR at some point in the past. :dead:

I had no idea. :russ: must have been when I wasn’t living right

question for the brehs -

right now i'm rocking an i5 - 6500 with a gtx 970.

thinking about going 1080ti. wanna see how this 4K looks on the OLED.

should i also upgrade the processor to i7?

looking at this 7700 for $270

Might as well...I have an i5 6600k overclocked to 4.4ghz paired with a GTX 1080 TI. It performs fine to me at 4k and I have the same TV I think LG C7 55 inch. From what I understand at 4k CPU isn't as important as GPU because you're more GPU bound at 4k than 1440p and 1080p.

I kind of wish I would have waited for HDMI 2.1 because they're probably going to support 4k 120hz for gaming I believe. GTX 1080 TI can do 4k 60HZ in most games though pretty easily.

1080p is the only one CPU intensive

Sometimes you just need to get it to put your mind at ease. My i5 is fine but I find myself checking cpu prices from time to time. :manny:

pretty much. also copped it for $279 at micro center. its up for like $370 on new egg and on amazon.

either way, I was gonna cop though.

stayed up till 5 am just doing mad updates. still downloading.

the bomb in Times Square means I'm working from home today though, so its pc play all day
