Should I update from i5 2500k to a ryzen?

What will be my mobo option. I wanna be able to game at 1440p with a stable frame rate.

Maybe, wait for Coffee Lake benchmarks however, they should be out tomorrow

The intel stans thought it was going to straight crush Ryzen and were ready to drink a lake full of coffee

Someone even asked me about the unlocked core i3 model and if it was better to get that over the core i5 models. Intel is doing it yet again

I'll say this, the $182 i5 8400 is the Coffee Lake processor to get. It keeps up and sometimes supasses the 8700K

Not sure if it was posted already but Microcenter has the ryzen 1600 on sale for $170 in store..I got that and a Gaming 3 motherboard for $225 including tax and a $10 mail in rebate.

I don't know why I never learned my lesson before but now i have.

NEVER upgrade windows. Just do a clean install. Jesus Christ it makes so much of a difference. My windows is running CLEAN and incredibly fast now.

That's the first thing I did after redeeming my upgrade from Windows 7/8 on ALL my machines.

Just too much shyt to account for and one thing going wrong can fukk up an entire upgrade.

For two years now I've been dealing with windows lagging, not functioning properly, having to restart because the disk was being used at 100%, Taking an hour to download a 412kb security update. This time I updated my windows from install to current patches in like a hour or two.
