Ryzen currently isnt as stable as a dual core hyper threaded pentium intel

The gamble is if games will actually use more cores. If they don't, intel is really the way to go when gaming.
Ryzen 3 and Ryzen 5 are better buys for gamers who are trying to stream and game at the same time.

Threadripper is also out...that X299 looking :flabbynsick:

I think @Ciggavelli dodged a bullet by waiting on the next...that is such a weird release by Intel.

Yeah, breh. I'm glad I waited. I'll probably update my components once the nex gen Titan gpu comes out. Unfortunately, my need to overkill everything (:dead:) is gonna have me still wanting 40 lanes for SLI purposes. Looks like I gotta spend a grand for that privilege though :francis:

Intel continues finessin their boys with that "new socket needed" game :heh:

I'll go with amd on my next upgrade, fukk them :camby:
thing is you really shouldn't need to upgrade your CPU that often. and by the time you do, there might be other new tech that requires a new mobo (memory, sata, etc)

how many gens is AMD claiming they aren't gonna change the socket?

at some point the socket itself will be holding back the tech

I think it’s only 2 gens.

People really can’t expect another AMD run in where they were on AM3+ for about 5 years.
