The first one is a classic. I know there's a crowd who thought it was boring or whatever but the angle of playing it as realistically as possible was very clever. I grew up in an old farmhouse and with heavy wind you'd hear croaking and noises everywhere at night. shyt didn't scare me but I know people who believe in ghosts and the supernatural can't handle it, and the movie played into that mindset perfectly.

Funny you mentioned this series...my new chick said she had never saw them but wanted too so we’ve watched them all in order, except for the last one...might watch that one this weekend and finish it off.

The first two were good, I laughed cuz I had forgotten how Katie’s sisters husband put the demon on Katie and Micah only to still get his neck snapped. :mjlol::denzel:

The third took a step backwards going all the way to the beginning but I guess you needed that for the story.

The fourth one was cool too, but confusing as shyt...you expected the little boy to be Hunter but it was actually the adopted one. So basically the demon kidnaps the boy only to have him adopted out and come back for him later using another little boy?!?! Whole adoptive family had to die instead of just kidnapping the kid back???

Marked Ones was the one that was trash to me. Seemed so unnecessary just to get a tap into the Latino market.

A horror movie can still be a good movie even if it doesn’t scare you. I’ve never found the exorcist scary at all but that doesn’t mean it’s not good.

Anyway, first paranormal activity has aged very well. So has the third. And those are the only two in the series I really like. The second doesn’t live up to the first at all, and anything after 3 focuses too much on the lore and mystery rather than characters and scares

he didn’t say it was just good though he said it was “classic”, all classics are supposed to scare or at least disturb you

that’s like calling an album a classic when none of the tracks resonate with you

I think the exorcist is a classic but it doesn’t scare me tho. So I see what he’s saying. First paranormal scared the fukk out of me tho so I can’t speak on that

What i do remember about part 1 was me and my lady laughed through almost the whole thing lol. I didn't realize people took that movie serious :dead: i thought this series was popular because of the unintentional comedy.

I remember being so disappointed after watching the first one... Their marketing worked.

I watched the that took place in East LA, that one was funny enough.

I will never forget the first PA. I was high as hell my junior year in high school and went to the movies with my friends, I never saw the trailer and we were in the front seat I had no idea what to expect. And I was SHOOK

I think I have seen the first 4, from 2009 to I think 2012, when I stopped watching. I remember the second one being good, or I just had a good theater experience, and the first one, was def. something of a mild sensation when it came out. Seeing in in theaters alone, escalated the material, but for the most part, I remember the 4 movies being essentially interchangeable. It has, like many series, it has a limited potential with it's concept.

The first one has aged well IMO :obama:

The 2nd and 3rd ones were nice follow ups. But after the 4th one you can tell they wrote themselves into a corner. “Marked Ones” was good but it became a lost cause.
