Why are they showing so much of the game if its their big showcase title this summer?
Loved this about the 1st one and I'm glad they are doubling down.
I've been waiting for a game that tackles or takes on this element since psycho mantis was telling me the type of games I liked and the type of player I was on PS1
I wonder why more don't tackle this experience?!
I thoroughly enjoyed the first game, but it was very much looked at as a AA game. I think this is part of an effort to shift perception to this being a legit AAA game. If they can build off of what the first game was, I don't see any reason they don't deserve it.

Thats not the problem, just make a bigger deal out of first showing everything at E3 like they did Starfield. I feel like people will have seen enough of it the way they are rolling it out
Until now, the game was ice cold, though. The Outer Worlds doesn't have the same pull Starfield had (announced way in advance, touted as the first new IP from Bethesda in decades, etc), an probably would've been sent out to die if there was nothing to hype up the showcase.
I'm also thinking that the game gets released not long after the showcase, since the tail end of the year might be loaded.
