This season felt like a setup season. As if they knew they would get a season 3 to explain in detail the expansion of the mythology that they laid out this time. I didn't enjoy this one nearly as much as the first season. They set up a lot of stuff to explore so now I have to wait and see how well they go about it.
I feel that they rushed Rachel's storyline. It kind of went awry when she all of a sudden lost her mind at the fact that she was made to not have children and kidnapped Kira which is exactly how she (Kira) ended season 1. They also killed her father to break her character's psyche even more.
Although I didn't want this to happen, it would have been a huge shock to kill Cosima this season. Delphine also got a raw deal or so it seems as of right now. I don't think that they have written her out especially since Kira gave Cosima Professor Duncan's book with his work inside. Art was criminally underused this season. I also didn't like how Paul just went back to the military like that without letting the audience know what he's been up to during the season.
I've grown to dislike Sarah the most of the clones. Her story didn't go anywhere for me and I was much more invested in Alison, Cosima and Helena. Alison was the backbone of this season with Donnie and Vick (to a lesser extent) giving the show a little something extra even if it all amounted to filler. Felix was kind of garbage as well.
With the introduction of male clones, I hope they have something dope in store other than him being bred as a super soldier. They gotta have more for Kira's father, Art and Dyad to do in the next season. Probably a stand off between Dyad (Rachel), Top Side (when they disagree with Rachel) and the military.
Also, what was up with the young clone? Charlotte is 1 of 400 attempts. Plus, her leg was messed up. Possible birth defects on top of the respiratory disease? That's intriguing as well.
