He's a great qb but his "elite" status waned off in 2012.

:mjlol:

I hope you're trolling. in case you're not, you say his "elite" status waned off in 2012, yet Brees led the NFL in passing yards and touchdowns that year.

he gotten better as he gets older if you look at the statistics. over the last three seasons (11, 12, 13) he has thrown well over 5,100+ yards each year (only QB in history to do so), and has put up averages of 43 touchdowns per game (again most in NFL), along with an average completion percentage accuracy of almost 68% (that's even higher than Rodgers).

now two games into 2014 he currently 4th in passing yards (ahead of Brady, Manning, Rodgers), 2nd in completions (only behind Jay Cutler :pachaha:), 6th in completion percentage (Brady & Rodgers nowhere to be found here)

:mjlol: Brees also threw 650+ times each season since the winning Super Bowl , of course he going put up the yards and TDs with that pass happy offense.

your stats don't concern what I actually see. Forcing the ball the Jimmy Graham,.dangerously throwing the away to avoid the sack, and no longer to throw the deep ball effectively.

The pick 6 was overthrowing Jimmy Graham ffs. Drew is great but not the level as Manning, Brady or Rodgers. Take off the shades, breh.

You noticed the year he won the Super Bowl he only threw the ball 514 times.

Brady!???? :mjlol:
so because he threw the ball 650 times is a bad thing? Peyton Manning threw the ball 659 times last year as well.

you would have a point if Brees was throwing the ball with a shyt completion percentage, but that's never been the case. dude may throw the ball more, but is more accurate than almost everyone more times than not. look back at the pass attempts and completion percentage over the last three years and early on this year, these are ranked in order of completion accuracy

11
Brees = 657 attempts, 71.2%
Rodgers = 502 attempts, 68.3%
Brady = 611 attempts, 65.6%
Manning = hurt

12
Manning = 583 attempts, 68.6%
Rodgers = 552 attempts, 67.2%
Brees = 670 attempts, 63.0%
Brady = 637 attempts, 62.9%

13
Brees = 650 attempts, 68.6%
Manning = 659 attempts, 68.3%
Rodgers = 290 attempts (hurt), 66.6%
Brady = 628 attempts, 60.5%

14
Manning = 62 attempts, 69.4%
Brees = 82 attempts, 68.3%
Rodgers = 75 attempts, 64.0%
Brady = 78 attempts, 56.4%

no longer to throw the deep ball effectively.

this is not true. It's only been two games so judging this year is silly, but over the last 5 years Brees has consistently been ranked near the top and even at #1 for two or three of those years when it comes to deep throw accuracy. here are a couple of links breaking down the deep throws. some are from 2009-11, 12, etc.

well no shyt. when the Saints had a defense that was recording record numbers with turnovers and points scored from them, he didn't have to throw the ball as much. there wasn't anywhere near the pressure to do so. that 2009 team forced 26 interceptions! since then,

09 = 26

10 = 9 (last in NFL)
11 = 9 (third last)
12 = 15
13 = 12

Turnover Margin per Game Team Rankings

09 = #2
10 = #23
11 = #24
12 = #14
13 = #19

let's not forget about the run game breh :ufdup:. that shyt helps as well

Rushing Offense NFL Team Ranking

09 = #6
10 = #28
11 = #6 (Career year for Brees, this team should have won another Super Bowl)
12 = #25
13 = #25

let me know if you need some more. :myman:

The Saints aren't in the hole yet, sure they wont get home field and will lose on the road at eithe SF or Seattle but they still should go 7-1 or 8-0 at home which means they only need to win 3 games on the road to reach 10 or 11 wins and make the playoffs.

@LastManStanding

Thanks for bringing up that lost to the 9ers in the playoffs

while I dont think its over(despite all the things I've said in the heat of the moment of course) you can tell we are going to struggle on the road like usual. and we've already dropped one of the guaranteed headscratchers that we'll look back on at the end of the season and say "that's the reason we weren't a higher seed"

:mjcry: you know we got AT LEAST 3 more :mindblown:-type loses in our system:why:

Watch we lose a nail biter to DAL, when we should hang 60 on em, like last year

:yes:

:dry: at Gregg Williams. Not only did his horrid ass playcalling cost us the 49ers Divisional game in the final moments, but he also fukked us over in the 2012 offseason with the Bountygate bullshyt. :pacspit:

:snoop: Remember what happened the last time we played the Cowboys in Dallas? Despite winning the game, Dez :cook: PRoblem for 9 catches, 224 yards, and 2 touchdowns, and I can see that exact situation playing itself out once again. :mjcry:

Yes, Brady who still put up numbers with a less supporting cast.

:usure: about the completion rate

1/3 Brees passes go to the running back, so you can throw that stats out of the window.

Face it, he's not the same qb before the ring, when Brees actually pinpoint a pass, spread the ball around, and can throw a deep pass accurately each time.

Take the Shades off breh.
