Richards is in, 3 4* wr is a very good thing for Kaaya and Allison

On paper you take the trade of Finley and Richards over Byrd and Williams, but there's no excuse to only 1 cb. Nothing changes that

Just gonna have to hold on back there this season, hope Jackson and redwine make a leap, and target everyone moving for 17. At least 1 juco

Class is very good, not great but it was never gonna be some Top 10 class with the staff only on the road for a month really. Much better start than what Shannon/Golden did. '17 class should be a monster tho

Sucks losing Byrd and Williams but the most important thing was keeping the EE, getting McCloud/Richards back and holding onto Bruce

Corner depth is thin, so hopefully Mayes/Jackson takes a big step up otherwise Malek will play more than he prolly should as a FR.

Congrats....we didn't get all the guys we wanted/needed, but the staff was handcuffed coming in so late.

'17 should be #Beastmode when it come to bringing in good kids. Winning on the field is the way you do it, hopefully we start it this year. I don't see any reason why we can't win 10 games this year. I think we actually can beat FSWho as well...We have a better COACH in Richt, they have a better recruiter in Jimbo

byrd lying out his ass:mjlol:

sites trying to sell clicks, that doesnt make sense

he was a Gator commit that flipped to us, and he burned our ass late. it happens, like the old saying goes when a kid de-commits once, you want to be his 3rd commit not the 2nd. because they usually do it again

like Lee said, this was about keeping a core together and adding a few pieces. a new staff with 2 months on the job doesnt sign 25 unless your bringing in kids that will never see the field like Al did, there no point in doing that. theres enough depth to get by, i think they sign at least 25 HS kids and about 2-3 JUCO's next year. its going to be a large class, and theres already 8 ESPN 300 kids (all from FL) committed

class was down to about 10 guys when you consider all the fringe kids that Richt told to look elsewhere (there was about 8 of them). Haskins/Young/Finley etc were very good additions to get to 18

msg from Uncle Edge to his nephew, Jeff

“Welcome to the ‘U’ Nephew … Don’t worry about the recruiting ratings. (They don’t know no better, lol),” Edgerrin James wrote on Facebook. “They didn’t get to see you play because U only played [your] senior year. … Growing up, U knew it was only 1 place for ‘U.’ Always told you everything will fall in place if you do the right things.”

kid had 9 picks in his only year playing organized football (was on the wrong side of things, moved in with Unc to straighten up), easily the most interesting in kid the class. with Jaquan only being a soph, FS is a position where we can finally rs dudes and get them ready. i think with Wright/James on the free, and Finley/Knowles (last years class) as bigger strongside types, we are finally getting back to great talent on the 2-deep for S. got a top 300 kid in Ahmad Ross for '17

yea, already 11 commits deep (about 8 by Golden, but all approved by this staff) 8 of them are ESPN 300 guys. i think between the number of signess, quality, and head start it should be in the top 5

the QB, N'Kosi Perry is a dual threat that some thought would bounce after Richt came. coach paid him a visit, seems content for now. hes like a high 3/low 4 rating right now, but can easily blow up

Navaughn Donaldson looks like a stud LT, both of the RB's look good 1 bruiser 1 speedy guy. both 4*. Kemore Gamble is probably the best TE in FL

Richt presser

-bringing back the alumni, holding an event for them before the spring game. wants the old Canes to feel welcome
-wants to bring 'Cane for life' culture back, not just a handshake after you graduate (a rare shot to Al???)
-happy with class, last year of dealing with limited schollies (had no idea the Nevin shyt still applied to this class)
-tipped hat to old staff for finding some gems in this group (he chopped alot of Al's commits, but w/e classy guy)
-5 WR's on scholly (not counting these 3) not good enough. sounds like 3+ more coming in 17
-the LB's have the best chance to see the field first. praised how physical they were, Quarterman already has makings of a leader

gonna take a break, see you brehs for the spring game

i said i would chill until spring game, but theres too many developments

-at least 1 new member of the team, former 4* WR Dayall Harris (Ole Miss). he got booted for a number of minor instances, should factor in as a rotation guy right away. pretty sure he has 4 years to play 3 (he'll be on the '16 roster)
-staff is pursuing former Gator JC Jackson, who was kicked off after a gun incident. he was acquitted, and if his grades permit can play D1 in 2016. former 4*, would make up for loss of Byrd
-couple changes to the '17 class, N'Kosi Perry and LB Aundrey Kearney decommitted. Perry will likely look for a spread team, coaches looking more towards some pocket guys
-2 commits, 3* S Billy Gibson and CB Chris Henderson. Henderson is a fast riser who could be a high 4* by the fall, hes fast as hell. Gibson looks like he could play either safety spot, a little more diverse than Ahmad Ross (other current S commit, more in-the-box guy)
-Walter Tucker left the program, just couldnt get any time @ LB or RB
-hired Michigan's Matt Doherty as Recruiting Director. was only there for 1 year (was our Asst Director of Player Operations before, only 30)
