Countdown to Armageddon
Not compared to today. Organized crime was huge and most other violent crime was interpersonal. Killing random strangers with guns wasnt nearly as common, and maybe even more significantly, the world wasnt connected and people didnt report on violent incidents like they do today. So even though youre not wrong, you rarely heard about that sort of thing and most people didnt worry about being robbed or shot minding their own business walking down the street.Huh? America was violent/dangerous as fukk in the 1930s.
