Nah, I know how destruction occurs already and it usually starts with the people who got destroyed being apathetic and corrupt. Chancellor Williams ain't saying anything that not already known in humanity. I bet you I just summed up that entire book in one sentence, didn't I? :mjlol:

Blueprint for Black Power by Dr. Amos Wilson and Powernomics by Dr Claud Anderson. That'll give you an elite understanding of what we need to do after reading what happened.

Hundred percent. But a lot of people are not ready for that reading. I believe the destruction of black civilization is the one book everyone should read. In fact to be honest I’m not ready for all that reading. I’ve only read two of those books that you just talked about however I have seen many lectures by Amos Wilson.

OK I’ll bite what’s wrong with the title.:shaq2:

And as far as the price goes well I’m pretty sure you are some video games right? Sure they were somewhat expensive am I right? You know you can get this book used on Amazon right?
  • Lack of plural for "civilization" makes me wonder if he's attempting to give a blueprint of what has destroyed black civilizations throughout history, and I don't think such blueprint exist (also why I asked about the approaches of the book). I'm sure (I hope) he's not conflating all black civilizations into one (at least without arguing for it)
  • Kinda related, the term "black" and "issues of race" used to describe periods when the concept didn't exist nor mattered. I assume that this is addressed though, and I expect it to be, but this is off-putting to me
  • The cover also bugs me for other little reasons; the foreigner is never the reason for the destruction of a civilization in my opinion. Plus I find it stereotyped
These are minor points so no need to make a mountain out of first glance impressions. It's just how the book appears to me as a non-reader

Breh who has the time to read everything.
Besides some things a waste of time to read or dangerous to read.

Do you read?
Do you get tired of reading?
Are there times when you don't want to read?

I'm asking, because as a reader, it amazes me when other people who read say "Who has" or "Nobody has" in regards to 'time' and reading books, while still holding other hobbies such as, having social media accounts, going outside for leisure/entertainment purposes, as well as posting on message boards like this, for solid hours a day.

Unless you got problems comprehending what you're reading or you're met with a writing style that introduces words and phrases that may confuse you (IE:- Old timey American Literature, heavily descriptive Sci-fi writing, Law/Text book shyt etc..) taking 15-20 minutes to read atleast ONE CHAPTER a day of any given book, should not be outside of the scope of most normal people living in the relatively free world.

I can't account for you, and I'm not attributing anything I said up there solely towards you, but in regards to me and time? I got it breh, trust. And nothing is a waste of time to read, if you find a reason to read it, even if that reason is to fully note and decipher how much bullshyt it is for your own education, especially if it's tied to a group of people that are steady in your orbit that you're trying to understand, if not just so you could refute them and their ways/thinking by using their own talking points against them since you're already clued into their doctrine.

Seems a bit much, but then again, I'm the type of breh that's up more than 24 hours a day at times doing all sorts of bullshyt. I got time and if not, I make it.

Your overthinking it. Either that or you trying to be difficult. It’s very simple the book covers a myriad of the ancient history of people who I know today is black and it leads the way up to our current situation?

No I don’t read as much as I used to and be honest I don’t have a long extension span.

And to be honest much of the stuff I have read I found out to be useless later in life. So when I do read something I want to get the biggest bang for my buck.

Understood completely. However, I'm the type of guy who feels the need to bookmark/archive/hoard information to be disseminated later, because I cycle through so many different moods and feelings, that at times compell me to go out and look for shyt, in this case, books, so I can broaden my perspective on alot of shyt.

While I don't regret most any book I've ever read (Catch 22 by far is still the most horrible, unfunniest, piece of Cac literature created) for far too long I've been steeped in Sci-Fi and Old Timey American Literature, that I've neglected to look up and read books such as the ones you and the others in here posted and it's a shame I'm trying to ammend, if not just for my own education. Reading on Marcus Garvey and Dubois when I was in college wasn't and still aint' enough, so atleast understand where I'm coming from, as a black man, trying to read up more on Black authors and the plight of black people and what we been through on Earth, not just my part of it. (West Indies).
