I’ve had an XBOX One X for almost a year and never noticed that my disc drive didn’t work until today because I always just download games to HD.

I bought nba2k19 which is the first physical game I bought in years on Black Friday. And the XBOX One X does nothing when disc are placed in it. I place Same game in my old Xbox one and and reads no problem.

Luckily my warranty is still good. Has anyone else had this problem and had to send their console in for repair?

My OG Xbox one won't read games, plays everything else. Last time I tried to play a game via disc was over a year ago until recently so who knows how long it's not been working in my case

After leaving my Xbox One S in the closet for like a year, I break it back out to see the hype regarding this gamepass shyt...Lo and behold and MS has won me back. As a Playstation head, let me admit I was wrong about backwards compatibility.

I went and copped a One X and its going to be my multi plat system going forward. I still love my PS4 but I'm tired of my system sounding like a jet engine every time I play anything graphically demanding and the One X is as quiet as a mouse.

@djthegreat88 and @PS4 if you smoke around the Xbox try shutting down and blasting some compressed air in there. That sometimes helps it clear out that 2nd hand cancer.

Sometimes I see drives stuck with a coin inside because someone's kid decided to stick a penny in there.

If not it might be Dead. Who cares anyway tbh. With game pass and all the digital deals finally competing with retail that drive is becoming useless. If still under warranty sure get it swapped. Takes 1-2 Weeks

Where the fukk is the classic friends list of avatars. I'd want that to be the 1st thing I see?

You aren't going to find much better unless you can grab a $399 X with a 15% off eBay coupon and no sales tax or something.

Man, I'm sorry to inform you but what you have is a SHELL of the experience it once was.
When your system launched, it revolved around Kinect.The dashboard is overwhelming because initially everything was accessed via your voice. And even then it was overwhelming how much you could do. The SNAP feature would allow you to watch TV onhalf your scenn while you gamed on the other half. Or you could watch a show onTV/netflix/wherever and say you was waitingfor a game to start in a lobby. The system would give you a notification saying your game was about to start. You could also switch thru apps exactly how you can with a cellphone (instantly and have multiple apps open.. not anymore

Kinect if you have one works amazingly today if you are not in dashboard beta program, if you in the program? Forget it. Last weekit worked better than EVER. Doesn't work at all currently.

If you don'thave Kinect you can just use a headset. Most people don't use it because they are overwhelmed at all the shyt it does. nikkaz won't even speak on it You can ask "Cortana" anything from starting a game to go to settings to what is the weather outside. Who won the game today? Its that detailed. You can go "write a message to courtdog, tellhim I'll be online in20min" and it'll type up the text and ask you to send it.

What I would suggest doing as a new xbox oner is to get free 2 week gamepass trial
Then after the 2 weeks you'll likely wanna get another month which will still be $1 til Dec.31st
You can see what EA Access is about as well. Its $5 a month or $25 a year, EA version of gamepass and any new EA game will be available to play by all Access memebers for one week before they launch (no additional purchases neccessary to eat there)

The xbox store has free games, game demo's, and Apps that you will want toget acquainted wit. Like free movie streaming apps/etc. If you google this you WILL FIND certain apps that don't show up unless you look for them Eat my friend...
