Unless that was the best I could afford I would have passed on the TCL. That's not even a native 10 bit panel.
54.6" TCL 55P607 - Specifications
Check the panel bit depth. It uses an 8 bit panel and FRC to achieve faux 10 bit. That's what they do on TVs when the manufacturer wants to cheap out. Then again it's a $599 TV so they're not gonna fully load it.
:skip:how you New York nikkas say it? That's a dub :mjlol:

If I just need a 4k player should I get the Xbox s or the X?
If you don't give a fukk about gaming in 4K, obviously just get the S and save a few hundred

I bought a $700 4K Bluray Player last year, so im good with that.

My Xbox One S is more than adequate for what i play my Xbox One S with (Forza Horizon 2, Cuphead, old 360 games)
I brought this just so i don't have to buy the 4k Blu Ray, beside, it plays 2k excellently

I need a 4k blu ray player with Dolby vision. Should I buy the Xbox one x or one of them Sony blu ray players
They both have Dolby vision but like someone elses said. Not much content uses it yet and it may not even be a standard in a couple years.
wtf is dolby vision :lupe:

the x1x does atmos...
It does both, Dolby vision is Dolby's version of HDR
How y'all streaming live sports on the Xbox?
By going to the websites that have links to a sporting event then watching the steam

Or

You can go to twitch, people stream everything there

Or

Go to YouTube and everything is live streamed there as well

Or

A day later the free movies 2048 app often will have things on there like UFC and I even seen a Mayweather/McGregor link on there :manny:

Exactly why I bought the budget... I've said I'm coping high end next year.

The spooky shyt is... My shyt looks beautiful - any tcl 605/607 user can attest to it...

But the fact that this shyt could potentially look better with a higher end screen... I'm excited. :banderas:

Need to make sure that shyt has low input lag, though.:sas2:

The only reason I didn't pull the plug during the summer on a tcl is because HDR is the secret weapon so to speak. And supposedly a weaker HDR solution is a HUGE difference between an up to par one. I'm afraid I'd feel how you do and bullshyt on upgrading. That was my logic, now all I need is the new standards and HDR10 and I'll be ready to make them splurges :blessed:

Yea,

I actually did my homework before making my purchase. I HATE to compromise and I'd almost never go budget unless the particular budget product is really a can't miss "best bang for your buck" type of product.

I just couldn't say no to the TCL p607 when the Rtings.com site that every one uses said this -

The best budget TV we've tested for HDR gaming is the TCL P607 4k Roku TV. The P Series comes packaged with a slew of HDR features usually not found on budget TVs, while also having one of the lowest input lag we've tested. It isn't as versatile or well-built as our mid-range pick, but it offers a lot of value and is a very good budget TV.

It performs well in all the HDR related metrics: it gets bright, can reproduce a wide gamut of colors and has a good overall picture quality. At 14.2 ms, its input lag is lower in HDR than most TVs in SDR, which combined with its low motion blur makes for a great gaming experience.

While it doesn't quite match high-end HDR TVs, the P-Series offers a lot of bang for the buck and is especially good for HDR gaming, making it a great budget recommendation.

Considering what many of the knowledgeable posters said about features that will probably be in the 4K televisions in the coming years, it made no financial sense for me to drop $1500+ on an irrefutably great tv like the LG B7,but that will possibly be unable to give me the low ms that i want as an option to me like the TCL does.

Especially since I was afraid of the image retention issue - I have kids that like to pause a show and literally not come back for an hour. :russ:

And, for input lag, the smaller the better...I couldn't get past the 14ms for the TCL.

Shout to the Coli for keeping me on point, though. :wow:

Also, @RiGGA Stop bullshytting and cop that Ghost Recon Wildlands for $20 on amazon, breh. That PVP is the new siege. Real shyt. :banderas:

No thanks bruh. FPS Siege >>>>TPS Wild lands by a landslide.

Game came out earlier this year and its already 20 dollars :bryan: meanwhile Siege been out for over 2 years and it costs the same if not more with updates coming every quarter. GOAT shyt

As for the tv, are we really going to notice the difference in 7ms :stopitslime:. And I live in my own crib by myself, so your little domestic issues with your rugrats and wifey don't apply to me in the slightest. Same reason why I'm going to get surround sound soon and eat. Only got about a year and a half left before my girl wants to move in and have kids n shyt so I might as well feast now

Absolutely agree.

When you Rugrats come through, I'm happy you'll have made the proper electronics related decisions that you needed to get out of your system before hand.:skip:

If you have not played Warhammer:End Times - Vermintide then DO IT NOW.

shyt is free for XB1 Gold subscribers until January and it is XB1X enhanced as well.

Game is dope... Plays like Elder Of Scrolls and Left 4 Dead combined.

I literally just spent a few hours playing with friends online and it's the most fun we had for free in a minute
