There was kind of a sad deal in a post-Raw interview with Piper where he talked about how Big Show should win the Battle Royal because Show had spent time with Andre and Andre was so proud of him. Big Show, who never met Andre, and wasn’t even in the business until after Andre died, tried to correct him nicely but Piper kept going. Piper said it in such a nice way that Show didn’t want to embarrass him by bringing up he never knew Andre.
