I would make the argument that different circumstances called for a different standard. It was likely Drogbas last game for Chelsea, and he is also a fukking legend to the club that has done things for em. Ronaldo has won fukk all with Portugal. Drogba earned more of a right to glory chase than Ronaldo did.

Also, Chelsea (seemingly) had more reliable PK takers.

Mata went first and missed his, but I'm guessing he was a good pick considering that Torres wanted to take one and they said no. Luiz kicked a perfect penalty. Lampard is automatic and has been for years. Cole, ironic as it is to say this now, is pretty solid for a defender. Drogba went last.
