you = the rest of the world not in located in Cork County, Ireland or call themselves Manchester United fans.

dont fall for the troll attempt.
united fans and these celt types really do live in a twilight zone.

honestly these people like keane, daglish, best, law are simply not known by about 3/5th of the football watching world. cant compare them to world stars.

People now saying Roy Keane isn't a world star?

I can only think you never saw him or you started watching English football after 2005.

You can argue over him and vieira, but there is no doubt Roy keane is one of the best players ever to play in the English league.

You have him in your side and your team will play 30 percent better, no one is allowed to hide Or he will chin em at full time.

I only wish arsenal could clone him for next season

Wassup with all the Torres Love lately here

i think what people are seeing is that the kind of football Spain and Barcelona plays suits much more to Torres than the way Chelsea play...we shall wait and see how Di Matteo will take that into effect next season...he needs their blueprint in order to get the best out of Mata, Hazard, Torres, Ramires etc

So many things wrong with this post I can only assume its a wind up.

Might as well chuck shearer into that group as well.

No one rated gazza either :smh:

If best had inho after has name, would you rate him higher?

Kid in my work was like that, if the players British theres no way he could be as good as his foreign equivelant, disregarding the fact he only ever saw the foreign players in highlight reels.

People almost seem to fall into this lazy memory that Keane was a defensive midfielder, when in fact he was the greatest box to box midfielder to ever grace the premier league. In his older days he sat back more but in his prime he was an absolute collossus of a player in all aspects.

Vieira was never truly that type of player, that's why the claim of him being more 'complete' is so ludicrous.

Oh and i'd ignore u-gos when talking about any legendary british players, he clearly has some sort of complex because none of them are black.

Nah, nothing wrong with saying no ones heard of George best, didn't he marry miss worlds? (when it meant something), european footballer of the year, won shyt, 1st celebrity footballer, then retired early to just drink, go round the world and fukk models and shyt, his son still makes a good living off his dads name, you really think you could do that if you weren't famous?

Plus

Prior to his death, Best was voted 16th in the IFFHS World Player of the Century election in 1999 and was one of the inaugural 22 inductees into the English Football Hall of Fame in 2002; in 2004 he was also voted 19th in the public UEFA Golden Jubilee Poll and named by Pelé as one of the 125 best living footballers in the world.[7]

To say noones heard of him is silly.

well now that you mention it yeah, shearer is in that group. only known on the british isles. you think if you go to colombia theyre thinking about some alan shearer? all these players had such a tiny impact on the world game, on the world stage. shearer and dalglish are no more revered internationally than say a faustino asprilla. and even hes more well known cos he was successful abroard and played in a top league. roy keane did not prove himself in a top league. hes ally mccoist status. soon as the premier league started getting good he was ghost.

cant compare that to beasts of the world game like vieira. theres a reason why real madrid spend years chasing vieira and were looking at keane like

County Cork you mean. :childplease:

And Vieira was clearly better then Keane, Keane was a glorified hatchetman.
