The province says the following businesses will be able to begin operating on May 4 at 12:01 a.m.:

  • Garden centres and nurseries with curbside pickup and delivery only.
  • Lawn care and landscaping.
  • Additional essential construction projects that include shipping and logistics; broadband, telecommunications, and digital infrastructure; any other project that supports the improved delivery of goods and services; municipal projects; colleges and universities; child care centres; schools; and site preparation, excavation, and servicing for institutional, commercial, industrial and residential development.
  • Automatic and self-serve car washes.
  • Auto dealerships, open by appointment only.
  • Golf courses may prepare their courses for the upcoming season, but not open to the public.
  • Marinas may also begin preparations for the recreational boating season by servicing boats and other watercraft and placing boats in the water, but not open to the public. Boats and watercraft must be secured to a dock in the marina until public access is allowed.

Two patients have died and dozens of other patients and staff have tested positive after an outbreak of the coronavirus at Toronto Western Hospital.

Officials at the hospital said 19 patients and 46 staff members have tested positive.

Officials said four units of the hospital are affected, two of which are treating those admitted with COVID-19.

The units have now been closed to new admissions and are undergoing repeated deep cleanings.

Toronto Western Hospital is one of the hospitals in the city treating patients with the virus, which also houses an assessment centre.

That area is full of legit mental patients, most of who are not in their right mind

Yup. And they’re building condos around there. Clean up that area. I never understood having all those shelters and mental houses all packed in together.

Nobody wants them anywhere else.

You can't even try to build a new shelter without neighbours having a meltdown.

They are building a new condo on college and spadina next to a shelter. As soon as that building is livable there will be endless complaints about the shelter next door.

What is clean up and where should they go? The best place for any of those facilities is downtown period. For access. The truth is Toronto should have never turned the downtown core into condo central. The zoning for the city is ass.
