You do have to study a bit, it's kinda tricky but you can retake it as many times as you like. Will only take up more time

Download a practice test app, I'm pretty sure the questions will be the same, if you find a decent app
I got my g1 at 25
Test is easy even if you fail do it again on the spot.
For G2 just do driving school forget that in class crap
I recommend as well do your G2 and g test out of town.
