And black folks are more visible when it comes to position of power
The racism in the Toronto area is crazy and always feels weird when they try and act like it doesn't happen here. I feel like checking off you're black on a job application lowers your chances. I remember my friend applied for the same job twice and only difference in the application was he didn't fill out he was black, and got an interview.
It's sad that certain black Torontonians think Toronto = Canada. Have they ever left the city at all?
When I was there broke up with Toronto about 1 year after staying there. Lived out in the bush for a good minute. Other provinces have things/places to explore if you open your mind.

Irony is that some of these smaller places, the population is getting old. When you're a young black person(or immigrant) with education and some experience they actually try to get you involved in the town/city, because of the aging population and they dont want the town to die.
my nikka, the problem is always going to emanate from whoever is in a leadership position whether provincial/federal, either they have more interest in protecting the ppl they claim they were elected to serve or they don't....

I had a panic attack in 2019 and couldnt breathe
