In a recent Sportskeeda interview, IMPACT’s Josh Alexander was asked about the prospect of reuniting with his former tag team partner, AEW’s Ethan Page (via Fightful). Alexander explained that working in different promotions has separated the duo and offered a few other names as more likely candidates if he were to consider resuming tag team work. You can find a few highlights from Alexander on the subject and watch the full interview below.
On if he’d reunite with Page for tag team matches: “We kind of play in separate sandboxes and we really don’t have much of a relationship anymore because of that. I’m really not focused on anything tag team wrestling. If I were to tag would anybody, honestly, I don’t think Ethan Page would be my first pick right now.”
On his current list of preferred tag team partners: “It’s tough to say now going into Bound For Glory, but I think I would have to pick Alex Shelley as my partner, even though he has a long and storied history with Motor City Machine Guns. I think the blend together would be nice. If I had to pick anybody else, it’d be Mike Bailey, just for the Canadian Connection and hopefully we can bring back Team Canada 2.0 one day.”
Me neither.Has Page been out hurt? Haven’t seen him in a minute.
He's doing stuff on ROH now. He seems pretty content with his current role. Seems like he might be starting to change his focus onto doing more behind the scenes stuff like creative, writing, producing, etc. He's said he wants to start doing more of that and move into that full-time when he's done wrestling. So ROH would be a good spot for him to start learning and working on that.Has Page been out hurt? Haven’t seen him in a minute.

Some guys just ain't motivated like that. Probably knows he's never going to be anything more than a non-title level midcarder in AEW/WWE, and the other options mean making a lot less money.Damn he’s only 34. Kinda early to be transitioning into the role unless he’s got some type of nagging injury.

The program he did with Hardy Parrty when he had their contract was stuff he and Matt Hardy were doing all the creative for and that was actually some good stuff they had going on the Rampage/Dark shows that culminated in that cinematic match on the Hardy Compound.
Kind of a shame though, I've liked his work in AEW. He's a solid worker and is pretty good on the mic, certainly better than a lot of the people that get mic time in AEW. Thought he could have done more, but that AEW roster is so stacked it's hard to move up.
Yeah let him get his matches in but let him get involved with creative, producing, coaching/teaching, etc. He can get his feet wet down there with creative where it doesn't really matter much if you fukk up. Can get more experimental too to try out things to see how it goes.Exactly. Guy could be a decent/good mid-card heel in AEW. But if he can’t get screen time there being on ROH would be the perfect spot for him.
So, Tony Khan's not doing anything with Impact anymore?
It seemed like they were going to have some kind of partnership, where he'd show up & heel it up on their TV a la Vince McMahon in Memphis back in the day, and they would swap talent.
