Breh.....

Lemme take you down the rabbit hole:

For a deeper take on the Hogan/Bish era, The Lapsed Fan doing a big Hoegan TNA era series:

Marsupial Cliff notes:

  • Hogan and Bischoff got rid of the six sides
  • Dixie and em overpaid them along with Hardy and the rest, while the IMPACT main roster got shytted on
  • Awesome Kong got let go because Hoegan's nut holder "Bubba the Love Sponge" was shyt talking black folks, especially the incident in Haiti
  • Jeff was more fukked up than usual, but LETS THROW THE STRAP ON HIM :krs:
  • The knockouts division got dismantled and treated like the "Divas"
  • They had the gall to go on Monday nights to complete with Raw only to get shytted on something proper
  • The ratings went down to biblical proportions (Let's just say that there was a time when IMPACT was doing 1.5s)
  • Nonsensical storylines that went nowhere or were rehashed (Immortal, The Band, Aces and Eights)
  • The fans were starting to tap out to the point where it was just folks coming from Universal Studios to dikk around
  • The house shows were doing shyt
  • Hoegan's sex tape issues had more of a pop than him being a part of TNA

Bottom line, Hogan's reign in IMPACT did more damage that folks don't really want to express. They damn near Indie levels and just striving off of the meme of "IMPACT is still alive?!?!", along with the fact that Canadians making em pay for what they did to the Hart Family Dungeon.

Damn, so Hogan and Bischoff came in on 2009 and left when Impact got dropped by Viacom in 2014. They alongside with Dixie ran tanked the company in 5 years. It's a miracle Impact didn't go the way MLW did in '04, before they came back from the dead in 2017 and how ROH was before TK saved them. The current management and Anthem really turned the company around, but will forever have to pay for the sins of the old management and wrestling fans is never going to let go, unless Impact dies.
