He should keep his mouth shut & enjoy employment. Big Cass wasn't exactly setting the world on fire; and now that he's a walking wellness violation, Vince won't touch him with a 10 foot pole.
If he is foolish enough to leave Impact, at best he'll get a lateral move to AEW or MLW. That's his ceiling.

Sam's Town was becoming their home before the pandemic, the crowds were smarky but not annoying and actually fun, this is a great decision.

Honestly not surprising, but a very solid "cement the foundation" move, no need to push it with touring just yet.
