I'm about to pass out soon. If I wake up to alerts that Fed blew this in five, this is why: he had a bunch of break points in the fourth game of the fourth set and kept letting Kei off the mat when he was ready to fold. On Fed's serve in the following game, he blew an easy overhead smash at 15-15. It gave Kei life and he quickly broke serve. :snoop:

Fed-nadal final would be epic!

If Fed gets to the final which is still a tough task based he has to take it

Wasn't surprised about Murray-Zverev match. I watched the first two sets and Murray just looked "off" and couldn't dictate the S&V game.

Not shocked by Kerber either. The way Coco took out Bourchard last round, I knew she was game to upset Kerber.

Serena :blessed:

Stan and Tsonga on a collision course :blessed: :wow:

Surprised it took 5 for Fed to take out Kei who's a pigeon to the big 4 on the big stages.

Murray lost too? Jeez, I gotta pay attention. For some reason my interest hasn't been there this week. Gotta get it back for week 2.

Kei was on FIRE to start the match. Jumped out 5-1 in the first set and was hitting lasers all over the court. He was locked in...then Fed finally broke him and started picking him apart. It shoulda been over in four, but like I said earlier, Fed blew a bunch of chances to bury Kei in the 4th set.

I shut it off when Fed was up 3-0 in the fifth and was shocked how well he was still moving/playing that late in the match. Been a LONG time since he held it together in a five setter. All that time off helped out. He looked fresh.

That's why I think him and Rafa will finish in the top 5 rankings wise this ear. Roger FINALLY got an extended break he needed and while his draw is tough on paper this AO, he got to face tough opposition EARLY and it's enabled him to play himself into form quicker and face adversity quicker than if he had a cake walk draw and then finally faced some adversity in the semi's and not be ready for it. Same with Rafa. I think and hope he ROLLS Monfils tonight. That match against Zverev the other night was a match that I was sure he'd fade in the 5 as he's lost his last three 5 set matches (Puoille, Verdasco, Fognini). He needed that win just like Fed needed to win a 5 setter.
