She's only played 8 tournaments this year & missed the Asian swing (post US Open last year), the way the ranking works she only has 9 tournaments contributing to her ranking while the other girls gave the full 16. It's a testament to her success that she's still #1 with so few tourneys played. Mugu & Kerb won majors with Kerber also holding a Wimbledon runner up.
