You may have a point but Fed novak rafa been missing volleys like that to finish a gs final?

and to DF and collapse like that in a game to STAY IN THE GS FINAL in the deciding set when you're a HUGE favorite? Yeah, that would never happen with Joker or Federer.

Djoko missed 2 easy smashes in the French Open Final vs Nadal couple season's back, Fed lost at the US Open to Djoko with matchpoint on serve, let's not do this

edit: @Liu Kang :myman:

You could argue that gettting down in the first place shows lack of mental toughness as much as fighting back shows it(when you're the better player)
How so ? Kerber was playing better than her the whole 3rd set so it's logical for Serena to be down at this point. Relatively speaking, today, Kerber was the better player so Serena being able to fight back was her being mentally tough while she technically poor. I don't get where you guys wanna go with that one because Serena's mental is actually her best weapon and is stated so by everybody in the game.

but she actually represents the limits of mental toughness for female athletes though. Djokovic isn't blowing serve up 40-30 like that to stay in a championhip match. It's true, but feminists hate the truth.
No one's saved more match points in Grand Slams than Serena, you're mad weird trying to bring bullshyt feminism into this. She's 35/36, a dinosaur in tennis terms, she (along with Fed) would be retired in any other era let alone still at the top of the game. She was comfortably one of the most mentally conditioned athletes across all sports and genders at her peak, her best years in that regard might be behind her.

1. I'm speaking generally
2. You said you didn't watch the first set
3. Can you not see how not playing to your best abilities could a mental challenge
4. I'm not going anywhere. I never said she wasn't mentally tough, just offering a counter point.

Bullshyt, the nerve of putting Murray & Stan in there too :laff:

You had Fed dominating for years ( 3 seasons with 3 Slams) beating up Hewitt, Philippousis, Roddikk,, Safin etc then Nadal came through and now Djoko. Djokovic last year alone won 10 Masters titles and 3 Slams. He's in his 5th consecutive Slam final but to here you tell it there's great competition gtfo :comeon: You ain't slick
Nole and Nadal faced eachother in 21 finals (11-10) for nadal
Nadal and federer had like 18 finals between them (12 - 6) nadal
Federer and Novak had 14 finals (8-6) for nole
And murray and stan won 2 majors each and some other titles
These are in the last 10 years, how can you say there was no competition?

I guess it could be seen that way too indeed even though I don't think that's what he was talking about. But I got your point :myman:

By the same token. Azarenka's won 2 Slams, so as Kvitova. Sharapova has all 4. Further back you had the likes of Henin (7), Clijsters (3), Mauresmo (2) and of course Venus (7) winning Slams.
You can't say you don't like the same faces winning and then vouch for the ATP, it's been a bore of predictability for a long time. Be honest and admit you don't like Serena rather than your not too subtle and illogic rationale.

How's the ATP competitive when the world #2 and #3 have lost 5 of their last 6 finals to the same guy?:comeon:
How when the #1 finishes the 2015 seaso with 16000 ranking points? :comeon:

How when the same guy wins 9 Master's titles in a single season?:comeon:
How when the same dude's in his 5th straight major final :comeon:
How when a victory for the world #2 tomorrow would be deemed a massive upset?:comeon:

I see you, you're see through :camby:

Serena never had a rival like Novak, Nadal and Federer were to eachother
Nadal and novak have 47 matches between them....Novak lead 24 to 23. One fukking match between them. Show me what player had this against serena
Right now, sure Atp is not competitive but to say it wasnt competitive for the last 10 years is just :mjlol:

Against henin 8-6 closer but only 14 matches (the ppl i've mentioned in atp have more finals than these 2 have matches)
Against kim 7 - 2
