fed is using gut/luxilon on extreme low? :what:

that shyt probably loses tension like a mug each set. plus thats obviously why he has more power now...thats absurd. although if u were gonna hybrid lux u might as well use nat.gut for the feel and comfort..otherwise your arm would fall off. luxilon is the craze right now but i think its :trash: ive tried it in like 3 diff combos and by itself and i cut them out of my racquets after two tries with it each. i refuse to let any of my players use it :camby:

the sneak approach is pure :win: though. i use that all the time, works at least 75% of the time. wait until u see them shift their eyes a few degrees off the court to the ball and stampede in on an angle based on their shoulder/hips to cut off the shot and end the point. fed's been using it a lot on short-mid shots but its just as effective on deep top spin..i get why hes not doing it as much on the ATP tour though..short/mid the opponent has less space to work with and gives him more time to chase it in to make up for the delay

btw in case anyone cares i highly recommend volkl cyclone strung 2-3 lbs over mid or even at the top of the range (or over) for control/spin..particularly good if you dont have great top-spin/slice and tend to hit long. that'll give u extra bite and keep shots inside the line that would otherwise be a couple inches deep

u just gotta have a full swing with it and be able to generate your own power. wont need to hit stronger with your arms..just make sure u stabilize with your back leg and put pressure with your knee bent then step in with that front foot while transferring your weight forward with the step...should be able to really rip the ball if u do that right with those strings (although u should be doing that with your footwork anyway)
